Fuzzy Hyena by raizy Fuzzy Hyena by raizy
My cartooning studio class in grad school had a segment all about making cool black and white illustrations. We experimented with ink washes made with ink stones, colored pencils, white out, etc. in order to attempt to recreate a black and white photo. Mine was an attempt to recreate "Hyena on Black" by Christian Meermann: www.flickr.com/photos/chm/6251…

Okay, obviously it doesn't really look like the photo. But it was a lot of fun to make! I'd like to do more of this sort of thing in the future.

I really would have liked to be notified of the usage of my image, you know... It would have been... polite.

Sorry about that. It won't happen again. Would you like me to take down the image?

Too much cartooning on the brain >w<

It looks more realistic than your usual art though :3 and it doesn't hurt to attempt a different art style :D

From what I understand Photorealism takes a LOT of practice and time. It seems everyone here though would love to see you continue though!

I'd totally look forward to more of this kind of stuff! While not totally photo-realish it's interesting to see your style show through. :D

Now I understand why you like Hyenas! 20%! But that's still a lot from it's previous percentage (5%)!
