The last time I drew a Median mermaid, they didn't look like that one. They weren't quite "traditional" either, but I like this design better. It's inspired by those beautiful creatures, glaucus atlanticus. Seriously, look them up! They're out of this world!
Anyway, each one of these drawings were requested by separate people when I asked for suggestions on my Twitter.

Try leaving more blank paper on the left or right and make a wallpaper! Some character or a creature sitting or crawling in the right bottom corner creating sort of inverted 'L' shape ( like __| ) and lots of this nice organic looking paper would compose into a nice, warm wallpaper. You can also add smaller things in other parts of the wallpaper but not to big and distracting or they will fight with icons (side note: remember to make it wide-screen. it's easier to cut it off than to seamlessly stretch it out
Another idea is you could do retrospectives on this paper in SD story
I'm not saying you don't know to make wallpapers, by all means no. What i mean is how I would see this kind of wallpaper ;> This material has a really nice, warm, organic texture. It's good for a computer wallpaper by itself, BUT... Accompanied with your drawing it would be not just good, it would be great! I hope you get my point now Also, i hope you'll change your mind and make one or two You can still draw on the empty space AFTER you scan it
Richard Serra can go jump in a lake.
Damn, your designs never fail to amaze me!
