In case you can't tell what's coming off of Darius' head in the first panel, that's his halo fizzling out. He doesn't feel he needs the magic-enhancing abilities it gives him, so he's "putting it away", in a sense. Also remember that Darius doesn't speak the common language of Demons and Medians very well.

For fun and convenience, I'm thinking I'll call that common language "Lingo". What do you think?
