This page actually changed a lot from my initial plans, but I think the gist of it is the same. The biggest change was to have Rhea make snarky remarks in the second panel, leaving the last row to be completely serious. Despite what it looks like, the next page will not be saturated with angst!
Since one reader said the trees looked too blurry in the last page, I tried adding some black outlines to them and the flowers. What do you think? Am I actually making improvements in my attempt to make nicer backgrounds? Or are you wishing that I would just stick to rainbow barf so your eyes can stop bleeding? Two more small notes: Buwaro, Sakido, and Iratu's entries on the cast page have been slightly modified in light of this page, and there will be no updates next week because I will be out of town. That means no new vote incentive on Wednesday and no new comic on Saturday. But! You know me-- I'll make up that comic page eventually. It just won't be on Saturday. Slightly Damned Vote for SD on Top Web Comics? - Iratu tries on Buwaro's pimp coat with unfortunate results. |

As for actual helpful commenting |3 uh, the second to last panel with the cliff, the lines kinda feel awkward in that part :/ might be unessisary, ... or it might just be me |3
otherwise I feel like the lining of your background has made an improvement :3 especially with them broken like that at parts.

Now you know. Knowing is half the battle, G.I. Joe.
Fantastic comic. Glad to see the angst is slowing down now. Make room for the crazy times!

The evergreen trees look generally weird to me, though much less ethereal and fuzzy than the previous page. They still seem too thick, bushy, and uniform. I've not tried this myself, but looking at a picture of a pine tree, it might be more realistic to draw some of the branches showing through the needles, perhaps by drawing the bare branches first and then covering them with the clumps of needles. That might also help prevent them from having such an inorganic shape like stereotypical Christmas trees.
Don't stop drawing backgrounds! If you keep at it, they will only continue to look better and better and strengthen your comic. I marvel at how the majority of webcomic artists have exponential increases in ability, which is clearly visible just by checking every 100 comics or so from the archives. Look at how much better you have gotten over time! If you continue to work at it, I am sure your ability at drawing backgrounds will keep improving as well.

And christmas is coming! maybe a tablet will fall off a relative!
Though the "cliff" in the next to last panel looks a little... too straight, I guess? Maybe it's just me.
And on another note, I hope they didn't get left behind during all that character development.
